Week 30

How far along? 30 weeks.
Baby Hart is the size of: A cucumber.
Total weight gain/loss:  Gained 2 pounds this week, for 19 total.
Maternity clothes?  Yes, and this week I also caved in and began wearing Jason's shirts when around the house... possibly the best decision I've made in this pregnancy;);)
Stretch marks? Not yet...
Sleep: Been pretty good, trying to enjoy it since I know it won't last much longer;)
Best moment this week:  Mother's day!  It was weird wondering how much I would celebrate mother's day; but was so sweetly surprised by how many people wished me a happy Mother's Day; and my awesome hubby pampered me the whole day, and even wrote me a letter from the baby that was complete preciousness!
Miss anything? Being able to lay on my stomach.
Movement: A couple of sweet lil kicks have started to feel like painful lil jabs... and so it begins;)
Food cravings:  Soda, which is really weird since I don't even drink soda normally!
Symptoms:  Rib pain again- now on the left rib.  Hmmm...
Showing? Yup and officially able to use the belly as a lap desk!;)
Gender:  Baby Hart's a lil man:)
Belly button in or out? Almost all the way an outie.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Adjustments?  Adjusted the piles of stuff in the nursery to other rooms in the house so we could get in the furniture we got!  Woo hoo!!
Emotions: Starting to feel a lil calmer and more excited- prolly thanks to now having furniture for Baby Hart:)
Learned this week:  That we need to organize our closets and make more space in this casa!
So thankful for:  The nursery furniture we got- got a great deal through Craig's list from a super sweet family.  The furniture is exactly what we've been looking for!!  I'll put up pics on here once we get the crib assembled:)
Looking forward to:  Our babymoon this weekend!!
Other highlights:  I also enjoyed another fantabulous baby shower this week!  Got to even play some fun baby games!  Pics to come soon!:)

Week 29

How far along?
 29 weeks
Baby Hart is the size of: An acorn squash.
Total weight gain/loss:  Stayed the same this week; still at 17 lbs. total gained.
Maternity clothes?  Yes, and while normally I don't like dressing up at all, I've been finding myself in skirts a lot more to ease the discomfort of the heat!
Stretch marks? Not yet, but starting to feel like my sides are splitting....;)
Sleep: Been waking up more often... prolly something I need to get used to;)
Best moment this week:  I got my first mother's day card from my grandparents:)  Also, the week began with another great doc appointment!
Miss anything? Especially missing my dear friends, Brittany and Rikki, who were going to come in from out of state/town this weekend, but sicknesses caused other plans:(
Movement:  It's still been a blast!  Enjoying all the somersaults, slides, kicks, pokes, hiccups, etc.
Food cravings:  Haven't really been having any specific strong cravings; but still having a bigger appetite!
Symptoms:  Leg cramps are a new one I've been dealing with- the worst is when it wakes me up at night:/
Showing? The comments crack me up- depending on who's making them, where I'm at, and what I'm wearing, they range from, "Wow you're really poking out" to "You look smaller today".  I will admit, having some nasty drunk man yell "Stay away from the buffet" to me at a baseball game was a little less than entertaining:P
Gender:  Baby Hart's a lil man:)
Belly button in or out? Still half-n-half-ish;)
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Adjustments?  Been adjusting the mountain of stuff in the nursery to give it some semblance of order;)
Emotions I must admit, I've been a bit more weepy/gloomy lately!  Hmmm, hormones...
Learned this week:  I learned a TON this week, as we took our birth/parenting classes.  WOW info overload!  For one thing I learned that baby powder, yes BABY powder, is no longer considered safe for babies!  What???!
So thankful for:  Fixing our AC! Also, for passing my glucose tolerance test:)
Looking forward to:  My next baby shower, later today!
Other highlights:  Our birth/parenting class really was fantastic, though with all I learned I definitely felt the weight of all I still have to learn/do.  But the class was absolutely helpful; the best part was getting to tour Erlanger Women's East, the hospital where we plan to go.  It's a very NICE hospital, with a seemingly fantastic staff, and great birthing suites- they truly have more of a hotel-ish feel than a hospital feel!  Here's a link that has some pics.

Week 28

How far along?
 28 weeks
Baby Hart is the size of: An eggplant.
Total weight gain/loss:  Quite the growth spurt this week - 3 more pounds!  17 pounds total gained.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: My hubby was gone most of this week for his job, so sleep was pretty horrible!  By the time I got used to it and felt braver he was back;)
Best moment this week:   When my hubby came back home:)
Miss anything? My husband :D
Movement: Has been amazing!   Love feeling the lil body parts and stretches!  It's fun to try to interact with him too- I'll find an elbow or knee or who-knows-what and poke in on it.  He'll retreat such body part and respond with a full-fledged kick/punch.  Awww wrestling with my son already!:):)
Food cravings: Ice cream.
Symptoms:  Quite ironically I think I've forgotten to mention sooner the symptom of pregnancy brain that has been plaguing me!!!
Showing?  Indeedy fruity.
Gender:  Baby Hart is a boy:)
Belly button in or out? Still both;)
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Adjustments?  Being home alone all week required a LOT of adjusting!  I really noticed all the little things I desperately need Jason for around here- especially being pregnant!
Emotions: Been a lil' more overwhelmed feeling- prolly because of said husband's absence;)
Learned this week:  That I can't imagine going through pregnancy without my hubby!
So thankful for:  My husband!  Lol!  Can you tell my common theme of this week??:)
Looking forward to:  Taking our first birth/parenting class next week!
Other highlights:  Not to beat a dead horse (what a nasty phrase that is... never typed it out before...lol!), but I have such a new respect for single moms!  Not only all they go through once the child is born and in raising the child, but throughout the pregnancy too!  I cannot imagine how hard that would be!

Week 27

How far along? 27 weeks
Baby Hart is the size of: A cauliflower.
Total weight gain/loss: One more pound, so 14 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Yeppers.
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: Been pretty decent actually- I think I'm getting used to the bathroom breaks and kicks from Baby Hart;)
Best moment this week:   My first baby shower!!  It was at work, and was a blast! (some pics of it will be at the end of this blog:) )
Miss anything? Allergy meds.
Movement:  Been feeling a lot more full-body stuff and sliding of elbows, knees, etc!
Food cravings:  Sweets are still my fave;)
Symptoms:  Sciatic nerve pain, and toes in my ribs;)
Showing?  Um yes;)  Enough that now people have no fear of asking me "when the baby is due", etc... I was totally mean to someone a couple weeks ago and pretended I wasn't actually pregnant;);)  bwuahahhaa;)  After the initial shock/gulp reaction, I burst out laughing and said July 27th;)
Gender:  Baby Hart is a boy:)
Belly button in or out? Still half-n-half-ish;)
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Adjustments?  I've been forgetting I have a big baby belly- so I keep bumping Baby Hart into stuff;)  So I guess I'm adjusting to this belly;)
Emotions: Happy and excited mixed with some overwhelmed/panicky moments!
Learned this week:  That I need to get nursery furniture asap so I can do something about all the stuff piled in there;)
So thankful for:  All the wonderful presents I've gotten!
Looking forward to:  Getting thank-you cards done;)
Other highlights:  My fantabulous friend that I've known my whole life came to visit from PA this week!  I got to meet her new baby girl, which was so amazing!  Her daughter is super calm and happy, so I definitely got spoiled;)  Wonder if Baby Hart will be that way?;)  It was great to get a lot of advice from my friend who is a WONDERFUL mommy herself!!

Week 26

How far along? 26 weeks
Baby Hart is the size of: A head of lettuce.
Total weight gain/loss: No change this week, so still at 13 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Yes, and it's making me start to feel in quite the outfit rut;)
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: Baby Hart is officially strong enough to wake me up with his kicks and wiggles;)
Best moment this week:   Hitting the 100-days-till-due-date mark!!!
Miss anything? Having a wardrobe with more variety and one that I'm more familiar with;)
Movement:  I forgot to put in last week's post that week 25 was the first week that Baby Hart's kicks officially hurt a bit;)  It also was the first week he really began exploring my ribs with his toes.  Oh, and the first week I found myself on all fours in the classroom at work trying to get him to scoot out of those ribs as well as my lungs;)  I know it is JUST the beginning lol!  But I'm still loving all the movement; it literally takes my breath away at times when I can feel and see such distinct slides, pokes, and what seems like full dance routines;):)
Food cravings: Food in general makes me happy, though getting full is happening a lot more quickly than it used to!  Poor tummy is getting some of its space taken up;)
Symptoms:  Starting to get the loss of balance/randomly dizzy feelings.
Showing? Yes, and it's hilarious to hear people's thoughts on this: One minute someone will be like "Wow, you're really popping out!!" And then someone else later will be like "Huh, you'd don't look as far along as you are..." ...I think the latter is wrong though;)
Gender:  Baby Hart is a boy:)
Belly button in or out? Both;)
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Adjustments?  Had a great chiropractor adjustment that did wonders:)
Emotions: Happy and a smidge less freaking-out than I felt last week:)  We got a couple things marked off our get-ready-for-baby to-do list so that helped;)
Learned this week:  That EVERYTHING drops, falls. and spills when you're pregnant!  Also, that the opening of the Summer Olympics is the same day as Baby Hart's due date;)
So thankful for:  The cooler temps- very nice since our AC is broken!
Looking forward to: Baby Hart's baby showers!!!   First one will be this Tuesday at work!:)
Other highlights:  So this week we just may have picked out Baby Hart's first name;)  Keeping it a secret though till his arrival:)  Also, on Wednesday we hit the 100 day mark- all day I was trying to find a way to do a countdown.  Unfortunately, every time I tried to Google ideas it kept bringing up countdowns for the Olympics.  I got home late that night after a looong day, and I had pretty much given up; then I got to see what the hubby surprised me with hanging on the nursery door!

Week 25

How far along? 25 weeks
Baby Hart is the size of: An eggplant... though I'm sure he's still ahead of schedule of growth!
Total weight gain/loss: Added another 2 pounds for 13 total gained.
Maternity clothes? You better believe it.
Stretch marks? Nope but been going through the cocoa butter like crazzzzy.
Sleep: Been getting a lil uncomfy with the belly!
Best moment this week: Easter, and the overwhelming thought that Christ died and rose again for my son!!!
Miss anything? Sleeping on my belly.... though I rarely did before, now that I can't have it, I want it!
Movement:  I'm pretty sure he's gone from kicks to full body slams!;)
Food cravings: Mashed potatoes.
Symptoms:  Lower back/hip pain... shouldn't have missed that last chiropractor appt!
Showing? Yes indeedy.
Gender:  Baby Hart is a boy:)
Belly button in or out? Half and half;)
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Adjustments?  Adjusting to needing to go to the bathroom so often;)
Emotions: Super excited and happy... and a lil bit freakin' out;)
Learned this week:  That Tums may just become my new best friend.
So thankful for: God sending His Son to die for mine.
Looking forward to:  Going to the chiropractor TOMORROW!:)  Also, Wednesday will start the 100 day countdown to the due date!!!!
Other highlights:  We got our first gift off our baby registry this week in the mail from a precious friend I used to work with at Starbucks!!!!   She got us the baby front/back carrier from Target, and I LOVE looking at it picturing Baby Hart in it!! Soooo sweet!!!!

Week 24

How far along? 24 weeks
Baby Hart is the size of: A grapefruit.... although he's really bigger than that... as you'll see later;)
Total weight gain/loss: Added another pound for 11 total gained.
Maternity clothes? Yes and loving it :)
Stretch marks? Nope but my belly feels like it's gonna pop...
Sleep: Golden. And it didn't hurt that I was on spring break this week;)
Best moment this week: Having my sis-in-law in from PA made the whole week super special! But the best moment was definitely our ultrasound and having her there to share it with us!
Miss anything? Being able to pump in the caffeine when feeling an energy crash!
Movement:  The ultrasound doctor described Baby Hart as "very wiggly", and I definitely feel that!  It was neat during the ultrasound I got to feel and watch him kick at the same time:)
Food cravings: Food. Period;)
Symptoms:  A lil bit more rib pain but still feeling super well.
Showing? Yes and I think he popped out much more distinctly this week.
Gender:  Baby Hart is a boy:)
Belly button in or out? Neither lol!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Adjustments? Been adjusting our baby registries with all the things we had forgotten;)
Emotions: Happy!
Learned this week:  That Baby Hart is LONG! He's measuring 7-9 days ahead of schedule- the doctor said if he was more than 9 days ahead they would up my due date- ahhh so close!  But as of now he's still within the "margin of error".  He has very long legs and feet.... definitely taking after daddy there;)
So thankful for: A healthy, smooth pregnancy so far!
Looking forward to:  Deciding on Baby Hart's name... not sure when that will be though lol!  And it will remain a secret from the public until he arrives;):)
Other highlights:  Here are several pictures from our ultrasound!  Glad Baby Hart hid himself breech at the last one so we could see him again:)  The best part was seeing him suck his thumb!!
