22 weeks

How far along? 22 weeks.
Baby Hart is the size of:  A spaghetti squash.
Total weight gain/loss: 5 pounds as of the last appointment, but it's been a few weeks since that- I'm sure it's much more by now;-)
Maternity clothes? Oh yes.
Stretch marks? Not yet...
Sleep: It's about to be amazing, cause we're in Iowa visiting Jason's parents!  No truck noises outside all night! ;-)  And Mom Hart is gonna take Silas' pack n play into her room so we can sleep in the rest of our time here- wooot!!!
Best moment this week:  Having our appointment with the specialist go SO well!!! The baby is FINE as far as they can tell, and the procedure for the 6th digit should be minor!  Also, getting to visit everyone in Iowa again- it's been over 2 years since we've been here!  The last time we were here I was pregnant with Silas! :-)
Miss anything? Sneezing without peeing. Yes.
Movement: TONS.  And apparently taking off and landing in a plane makes the little guy wiggle even more!
Food cravings:  FOOD.
Symptoms:  Sciatica, though that's been better.  Some girly "discomfort" to use gentle lingo.  Pregnancy is so pretty;)
Showing?  Yes, oh yes.
Gender:  It's a BOY!!!
Belly button in or out? Still slightly in... but only slightly ;-)
Wedding rings on or off?  On.
Adjustments? Needing a chiro adjustment desperately!  Was going to go to one in SC before we left till I found out the fine print on their pricing- SHEESH.  No way.
Emotions: Excited!!!
Learned this week:  That flying with a 22 month old and being 22 weeks pregnant is MAYHEM.  Glad at least Silas and I both needed potty breaks all the time.
So thankful for:  A great appointment with the specialist!  Also a safe flight to Iowa and for the time here!
Looking forward to:  Enjoying this week here with family and friends!

Week 22

How far along? 22 weeks
Baby Hart is the size of: A papaya- and that is pretty fun to say! :)
Total weight gain/loss: Added 2 pounds this week for 9 pounds total.
Maternity clothes? Very excited that Baby Hart's growth spurt this week finally has me fitting into much more of my maternity clothes! Also, glad for the warmer weather so I can wear my stretchy leggings!:)
Stretch marks? Not yet; but with an increasingly itchy tummy, I made the worst decision so far in this pregnancy and decided to Google "what do stretch marks look like".  Brought up some intense images of what are probably the worst cases ever...*shudder*.
Sleep: Been pretty good, though I'm starting to wake up more for the potty;)
Best moment this week: Our super great friends had their baby boy last weekend, and visiting them at the hospital was SO fantastic and fun!!  It made me soooo much more anxious and excited for next July:)
Miss anything? Eating raw cookie dough and licking the spoon after making cake/brownie batter;)
Movement: This week started by me and Jason being able to SEE the baby move!  He was reading him the Dr. Suess "Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go" book and Lil' Hart started bouncing around a lot.  I was watching my belly anyways and was thrilled to then see the lil kicks from the outside!!! I nudged Jason to look; and his face when he first saw the lil part of my belly bounce up and down was SO sweet and priceless!  Very happy moment indeed:)  Since then, I've been torn between wanting to put my hand on my belly so I can feel the baby move on the outside, or wanting to stare at it instead!
Food cravings: Been really wanting some homemade mashed potatoes this week!
Symptoms: My bladder definitely says "yes" to there being symptoms;) Or should I say, what's left of my bladder...;)
Showing? Yes, and the belly definitely grew this week!
Gender:  Baby Hart is a BOY:)
Belly button in or out? In-ish.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Adjustments? Adjusting my running plan is definitely a must now.  Still hoping to keep up the running... but definitely not going to be able to keep the pace and distance I've kept up till now. Wayyyy too painful.  So shortening the distance/slowing it down is gonna have to happen.
Emotions: Starting to experience waves of nervousness and panic... so much to do and learn in the next 18ish weeks!
Learned this week: That I have so much to learn;)
So thankful for: My fantastic friend Alyson, who is hemming my maternity pants, and is even going to make some into shorts and capris since it's getting to be the season of heat here:)
Looking forward to: Registering this Thursday!!:)
Other highlights:  I forgot to post this a couple weeks ago.  But in honor of the warm weather, here was the last time I had to wear my winter coat.  Good thing it got warm;)
